Itap York 108 Brass Foot Valve – 1″ Female Thread, DN25, PN12

The Itap York 108 is a heavy-duty brass foot valve designed for pump suction lines in pools, irrigation systems, and greenhouse water supply installations. Fitted at the bottom of a suction pipe or inside a well, it prevents backflow when the pump stops, maintaining prime and protecting the pump from dry running. The valve body is manufactured from dezincification-resistant brass, while the integrated strainer basket is formed from stainless steel 304 mesh, keeping debris out of the system and extending pump service life.

The spring-loaded check mechanism uses an NBR seal, delivering reliable shut-off across a working temperature range of -20 °C to +100 °C. At a maximum working pressure of 12 bar (PN12), the York 108 is suited to high-head pumping applications where lesser valves fail. The nylon strainer collar creates a secure, corrosion-resistant joint between the brass body and the stainless steel basket, eliminating galvanic contact points that could accelerate wear.

Compatibility

The York 108 DN25 foot valve is compatible with standard 1″ BSP female-threaded pump suction ports and pipe fittings. It is suitable for use with clean or lightly contaminated fresh water in swimming pool pump installations, drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, agricultural water supply, and greenhouse irrigation networks. The NBR seal is compatible with water and mild aqueous solutions within the stated temperature range. This valve is not rated for use with aggressive chemicals, hydrocarbons, or potable drinking water applications unless local regulations specifically permit brass fittings.

Itap Foot valve brass 1" female thread 12bar DN25 stainless steel 304 type York 108 — main
  • Solid brass body rated to 12 bar — handles high-head pump installations without risk of body deformation
  • Stainless steel 304 mesh basket filters debris from the suction line, protecting pump impellers
  • Wide temperature range (-20 °C to +100 °C) suits both outdoor irrigation and heated pool plant rooms
  • Standard 1" BSP female thread connects directly to most pump suction ports with no adapters required
  • Made in Italy — consistent manufacturing tolerances and reliable NBR seal compression
  • One-way (check) function only — flow direction must be observed during installation; cannot be used as an isolation valve
  • Brass body may require periodic inspection in highly chlorinated or aggressive water to check for corrosion
  • Strainer basket requires manual cleaning when debris accumulates, necessitating removal of the valve from the suction line
