How it works

The method is an adaptation of the ascorbic acid approach, in which the reaction between phosphate and the reagent produces a blue tint in the sample. A compatible Hanna photometer then measures the intensity of that colour and displays the phosphate concentration directly in mg/L (ppm), eliminating any guesswork associated with visual colour-matching.
