The BL120-410 is a flow cell assembly used with Hanna Instruments BL12x, HI5x0 and HI98141x series controllers to hold the measuring electrodes in a constant, representative sample stream. It sits in a bypass line taken off the main circulation pipework, so probes stay wetted and read stable values without being exposed to the full system flow. It is a standard component in commercial pool and spa water-treatment panels built around Hanna dosing and monitoring equipment.

Compatibility

Designed for Hanna Instruments controllers in the BL12x, HI5x0 and HI98141x families. It accepts the standard electrode bodies used with those panels, typically pH, ORP and temperature probes plus a flow or level sensor position. Check the thread and probe diameter of your existing electrodes against the cell before ordering as a replacement for a non-Hanna housing.

Installation position

Fit the flow cell in a bypass loop between the pressure side and the suction side of the circulation pump, downstream of the filter so the sample is clean. Isolating valves before and after the cell allow probes to be removed for cleaning or calibration without draining the system. Mount the cell vertically so the electrodes remain fully immersed and air pockets can escape.

Service life

The cell body itself is a passive part and lasts for years under normal pool water conditions. Replace it if the housing cracks, if threads or O-ring seats leak, or if scale and chemical attack have made it impossible to seal the probes reliably. Periodic inspection during probe calibration is the easiest way to catch wear early.
