Foras KB 310 T Cast Iron Centrifugal Pump 2.2 kW 1¼” × 1″ 230/400V

Delivering up to 9 m³/h at a maximum working pressure of 11 bar, the Foras KB 310 T is a 2.2 kW (3 HP) twin-impeller centrifugal pump built for sustained high-pressure duty in agricultural, industrial, and civil pressurisation applications. It connects via 1¼” BSP female suction and 1″ BSP female discharge ports and runs on either 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase 50 Hz supply, making it straightforward to integrate into existing European installations.

Twin-impeller hydraulics & pressure performance

The KB series uses two counter-opposed impellers — manufactured from Noryl for corrosion resistance — to produce the elevated head that a single-stage design of equivalent power cannot match. This architecture makes the KB 310 T well suited to pressure-boosting duties, irrigation systems, and clean-water transfer where a stable, high-pressure output is required throughout the duty cycle.

Robust construction & motor protection

The pump casing and motor bracket are cast in grey iron for rigidity and longevity, whilst the mechanical seal is a Type D cartridge unit providing a reliable liquid-tight closure at the shaft. The motor carries IP44 ingress protection and Class F winding insulation, with built-in thermal overload protection that will shut the motor down automatically should operating temperatures exceed safe limits. Maximum handled water temperature is 90 °C.

Three-phase wiring & site installation

The “T” suffix denotes three-phase operation: the pump ships without a cable and must be wired by a qualified electrician to a 400 V three-phase supply, keeping it firmly in the professional and trade installer domain. It is not self-priming and must be installed in-line or with flooded suction, and should be sited indoors or in a weatherproof enclosure to maintain its IP44 rating. Dimensional footprint (L × W × H) is approximately 385 × 210 × 265 mm, so allow adequate clearance for pipework connections and future maintenance access.
