Kripsol Ninfa PPE drip ring (slinger) Ø15mm shaft — pack of 10

This is the genuine Kripsol drip ring — also called a slinger ring or larmier — for the Ninfa pump wet end (PPE). Fitted on the motor shaft immediately behind the mechanical seal, it spins with the shaft and centrifugally deflects any water that weeps past the seal, preventing it from tracking along the shaft and reaching the motor bearings. The pack contains 10 rings, making it a practical stock item for workshop use or multi-pump installations.

What this drip ring does in the Ninfa

The Ninfa’s mechanical seal is not a perfectly dry barrier — small volumes of water weep through it by design to lubricate the sealing faces. The drip ring sits on the Ø15mm shaft just inboard of the seal and uses centrifugal force to fling that weeping water radially outward and away, preventing it from migrating along the shaft into the front motor bearing. Without a serviceable drip ring, persistent seal weepage accelerates bearing corrosion and ultimately motor failure.

This drip ring is specified for the Kripsol Ninfa NK pump family — including the NK 25M, NK 33M, and NK 51M single-phase models — wherever the wet-end shaft diameter is Ø15mm. You’ll notice a slow drip of water from the underside of the pump, directly below the point where the motor meets the wet end, even after fitting a new mechanical seal. Inspect the drip ring when you remove the impeller: look for cracking, deformation, or a loose fit on the shaft. A drip ring that has lost its shape no longer seats flush and fails to deflect weepage effectively, allowing water to travel inward toward the bearing.

Hoe installeer je het?

With the pump isolated from the supply, remove the pre-filter cover, unscrew and withdraw the impeller, and slide the worn drip ring off the Ø15mm shaft. Press the replacement ring firmly onto the shaft until it seats against its locating shoulder — no tools required beyond those already needed for the impeller removal. Reassemble in reverse order, refit the mechanical seal if it is also being replaced, and run the pump briefly to confirm the weepage has stopped before closing up the plant room.
