The HI1286A is a pH measuring electrode with a durable PEI body and a PTFE junction, rated for line pressure up to 3 bar. It is supplied with a fixed 2 metre cable terminated in a standard BNC connector, making it suitable for pH controllers, dosing systems and analogue pH panels used in commercial pool water treatment.

Waarvoor het geschikt is

The BNC connector is the industry-standard pH input used on Hanna Instruments controllers, transmitters and dosing panels, as well as most third-party pH instruments with a BNC socket. Because the electrode is rated to 3 bar, it can be installed in pressurised circulation lines and not only in open tanks. Always confirm that your controller expects a standard pH glass electrode without a built-in temperature sensor, as this model has no integrated Pt100/Pt1000 element.

Montagepositie

Mount the electrode in a flow cell or inline fitting on the pressure side of the circulation loop, downstream of filtration and upstream of the chemical injection points. Keep the sensing bulb permanently wetted and install at an angle of at least 15 degrees above horizontal so the internal electrolyte stays in contact with the junction. Route the 2 m cable away from pump motors and frequency inverters to avoid signal interference on the high-impedance pH input.

Levensduur

pH glass electrodes are consumable items: expect roughly one to two years in continuous pool duty, depending on water chemistry, temperature and chlorine load. Replace the probe when calibration slope drifts outside the controller’s accepted range, when response becomes sluggish, or when the glass bulb is cracked or heavily coated. Regular cleaning and correct storage in KCl storage solution during downtime will extend usable life.

Opmerkingen bij het bestellen

The HI1286A is sold individually as a single electrode with its attached cable; calibration buffers, storage solution, flow cells and inline holders are ordered separately. The cable length is fixed at 2 m and cannot be extended without a suitable impedance-matched junction box. Check the PEI body and PTFE junction against your chemical exposure before ordering, as solvent-heavy or high-temperature applications may require a different body material.
