The BL120-475 is a complete flow cell kit designed to mount Hanna Instruments measuring probes in-line on Ø 75 mm pipework. It belongs to the accessory range for the BL1xx series and HI5x0 series pool and process controllers, providing a stable measuring chamber where a continuous sample of pool water passes across the electrodes. The kit supplies the flow cell body together with the fittings needed to tap into and return water from the circulation line.

What it fits

This kit is intended for use with Hanna Instruments BL1xx series and HI5x0 series controllers. The pipe connections are sized for Ø 75 mm circulation pipework, so the installation must have a 75 mm line available for the sampling take-off and return. Probe seats accept the standard Hanna pool electrodes used with these controllers; check the thread and body diameter of your existing probes before ordering.

Installation position

The flow cell is installed as a bypass loop on the main circulation line: a take-off after the filter feeds the cell and the return re-enters the pipe downstream. Mount the cell vertically on a wall or panel so the electrodes stay upright and fully wetted, and keep the sample line as short as practical. Isolation valves on the inlet and outlet allow probes to be removed for calibration without draining the system.

Service life

The flow cell body and fittings are long-life components and normally only need replacement if cracked, chemically attacked or mechanically damaged. O-rings and probe seals are the usual wear items and should be inspected whenever a probe is removed for calibration. Deposits of scale or biofilm inside the cell reduce measurement accuracy, so periodic cleaning is part of routine controller maintenance.

Ordering notes

This is the Ø 75 mm version of the flow cell kit; other pipe diameters require a different part number. Probes, controllers and dosing equipment are not included and are ordered separately. Confirm your controller model and pipe size before ordering, as the kit cannot be adapted to other diameters without additional reducers.
