The HI6293005 is an amplified ORP electrode with a platinum sensing element and a rugged PEI body, fitted with a 5 metre cable terminated in a BNC connector. The built-in amplifier is powered by a replaceable battery inside the electrode head, so the low-impedance signal stays stable over the full cable run. It belongs to the Hanna Instruments process electrode family used with ORP controllers and dosing panels in commercial pool and water-treatment installations.

The BNC connector makes this electrode suitable for Hanna Instruments ORP controllers, transmitters and dosing systems that accept a standard BNC input, as well as third-party instruments using the same connection. Because the signal is amplified, it also works on inputs that are not designed for very high-impedance sensors. Always confirm your controller expects a low-impedance amplified ORP input before installing.

Montagepositie

The electrode is normally mounted in an in-line flow cell or measuring chamber on the sample loop, downstream of the filter and upstream of the chemical injection points. Keep the sensing tip permanently wet and mount the body so trapped air cannot collect around the platinum ring. The 5 metre cable allows the controller cabinet to be positioned away from the wet area without the need for an extension.

Levensduur

ORP electrodes are consumable items; response typically slows and readings drift as the platinum surface fouls or the reference junction ages. Clean and re-verify against an ORP test solution at regular service intervals and replace the electrode when it can no longer be brought back into range. The internal battery of the amplifier can be swapped separately, which avoids discarding an otherwise healthy electrode.

Supplied as a single electrode with cable and BNC connector; flow cells, mounting fittings, cleaning solutions and ORP test solutions are ordered separately. The replaceable battery is a service item and is not included as a spare. Check that your existing chamber accepts the electrode body diameter and thread before ordering.
