Delivering a peak flow rate of 12 m³/h at 0.5 HP (230 VAC / 2.5 A), the Flotide SC 050 is a single-speed centrifugal pump sized for medium domestic swimming pools. Its 50 mm (1½”) metric/imperial glue-socket unions accept both measurement standards, eliminating the need for adaptor fittings on most European and UK installations. The pump ships with a UK plug fitted as standard, making it ready to connect without additional wiring work.

Hydraulic performance & self-priming

The SC 050 is self-priming, able to lift water from up to 2 m below the pump centreline, which suits the majority of above-ground and semi-recessed plant-room arrangements. At a typical working head the 12 m³/h output is sufficient to turn over a pool volume of around 40–60 m³ within the two-hour cycle generally recommended for domestic pools, making this the entry-level variant in the SC range and an appropriate choice for pools up to approximately 50 m³.

Motor & corrosion resistance

The motor shaft and mechanical seal are both manufactured from stainless steel 316, which gives the pump full compatibility with salt-chlorination systems without risk of corrosion to rotating components. Thermal overload protection is built in, guarding the motor against damage from sustained dry running or blocked flow, while Class B insulation and IP55 protection keep moisture ingress at bay in a typical poolside environment.

Basket & access

A transparent pre-filter lid allows the hair-and-lint basket to be inspected at a glance without removing any covers, and the basket is accessible by hand. NSK bearings contribute to the notably low operating noise level, a characteristic that makes the SC 050 well suited to garden installations where quiet running matters. The overall footprint (600 × 240 × 370 mm) is compact enough to fit most standard pump recesses.
