At a full 3″ (DN80) male thread and a 75 mm hose tail, this is one of the largest-bore adaptors in the Profec brass range — built for high-volume pipework where flow resistance must be kept to an absolute minimum. Rated to 30 bar working pressure and temperatures up to 120 °C, it is equally at home in demanding commercial pool plant rooms, industrial pumping stations, and process-water circuits.

Machined from solid brass, the body combines corrosion resistance with the mechanical strength needed to hold 30 bar without fatigue. At 97 mm overall length with an 81 mm spanner flat, installation is straightforward with standard pipe-trade tooling, and the robust hex grip ensures a firm, leak-free make-up without risk of slipping or rounding off.

Connection geometry & sizing

The male BSP thread screws directly into any compliant female 3″ port on pumps, filters, manifolds, or valve bodies, while the 75 mm barbed tail accepts large-bore flexible hose secured with a hose clip or ferrule. This transition from rigid threaded pipework to flexible hose is particularly useful in plant-room installations where vibration isolation or minor misalignment between components needs to be accommodated.

Temperature capability & application range

With a maximum service temperature of 120 °C, this adaptor is not limited to ambient-temperature pool water — it is equally suited to heated pool circuits, solar thermal loops, and hot-water pump headers.
