Kripsol Koral KSV300 pump impeller (turbine) – 3 HP

This is the OEM replacement impeller — referred to as a turbine in Kripsol’s own parts nomenclature — for the Koral KSV300 pool pump. Seated inside the pump volute, it spins at 2,850 RPM to draw water from the pool, through the pre-filter basket, and into the filtration circuit. Without a correctly profiled impeller the pump loses prime, flow rate drops, and the filtration system cannot turn the water volume over in the required time.

What this impeller does in the Koral

The impeller is the sole rotating hydraulic component in the pump wet end. Its vane geometry determines head pressure and flow rate — a cracked, chipped, or worn impeller directly reduces both. At the 3 HP rating, the KSV300 is sized for larger residential pools, so even partial impeller damage is noticeable as a meaningful drop in return-jet force and filtration turnover time.

Replace this impeller when you see a sustained loss of return-jet velocity that pre-filter cleaning does not fix, when the pump struggles to reprime after backwashing, or when inspection reveals cracks, eroded vane tips, or a scored bore. Isolate the pump, drain the wet end, and remove the pump body bolts to split the volute. Unscrew the impeller from the shaft — note it is left-hand threaded on most Koral models, so turn clockwise to release. Seat the new impeller by hand until snug, reassemble the volute with a new body O-ring if worn, and reprime before switching the motor on. The job takes roughly 20–30 minutes with basic spanners.

An impeller machined to the wrong vane profile or shaft bore tolerance will either underperform hydraulically or vibrate excessively, accelerating shaft-seal wear.
