Merlett PVC-U Glue Socket 38 mm – Blue Swimming Pool Hose Connector

This blue PVC-U glue socket is purpose-built for connecting rigid or semi-rigid swimming pool suction and return hoses with an outside diameter of 38 mm (1½ inch nominal). The stepped, double-ended barrel design accepts the hose on the plain spigot end and mates with a 38 mm solvent-cement socket on the fitting end, creating a permanent, leak-free joint that withstands the continuous water flow and chemical environment of residential and commercial pool installations.

Manufactured in unplasticised PVC (PVC-U), the socket offers excellent resistance to chlorine, algaecides and common pool-treatment chemicals. Compatibilité

Designed to couple directly onto 38 mm outside-diameter swimming pool hoses — including corrugated suction hose and smooth-wall pool hose — and to solvent-weld into 38 mm PVC-U pipe fittings, pump unions and filter tank ports with a 38 mm (1½ inch) glue socket. Confirm the hose or pipe OD is exactly 38 mm before ordering; this socket is not suitable for metric 40 mm plumbing pipe.
