This is the OEM transparent prefilter cover for the Kripsol Koral Delfino KS pump family, supplied complete with its sealing O-ring. It closes and seals the prefilter chamber, keeping the basket under pressure while allowing you to inspect the basket’s fill level without opening the pump.

What this prefilter cover does in the Koral

The cover seals the prefilter pot against the pump body using the included O-ring, maintaining prime and preventing air ingress during operation. Its transparent polycarbonate construction gives you a direct view of the basket so you can judge when cleaning is needed without breaking the seal. The cover is secured by hinged knob screws with stainless-steel studs, which means no tools are required for routine basket access.

The internal diameter of the cover seating is 147 mm, external diameter 167 mm — verify these dimensions against your pump before ordering if you are unsure of your exact variant. Señales de que hay que cambiarlo

Replace this cover immediately if you see a persistent water weep around the prefilter rim even after reseating the O-ring, visible cracking or crazing in the polycarbonate, or if the knob-screw pivot points have fractured and no longer hold torque. A cover that cannot seal correctly allows air into the system, causing the pump to lose prime and cavitate.

Cómo instalarlo

Switch the pump off and isolate the circuit. Release the two hinged knob screws and lift off the old cover. Seat the new O-ring into its groove dry — no lubricant is required for initial fitting, though a thin film of Vaseline on the ring eases future removal. Press the new cover down evenly and tighten both knobs hand-firm in a cross pattern. Restore flow and check for any weep around the rim before returning the pump to service.

An off-spec cover — even one that appears to fit — can leave a gap at the O-ring groove, introducing an air leak that progressively worsens prime retention.
