The Bermad C30 is a combination air valve engineered for pressurised irrigation and water distribution pipelines. In a single compact body it performs three critical functions: it releases large air pockets during system filling, exhausts small air volumes under operating pressure, and admits air to break vacuum and prevent pipe collapse when the system drains. The glass-filled nylon (GFN) body resists UV radiation, fertiliser solutions, and the mechanical stresses of field installation far better than standard unfilled plastics, making it a first-choice component for drip and sprinkler irrigation mains.
Moulded in black glass-filled nylon and sealed with EPDM internals, the C30 tolerates continuous water temperatures up to 60 °C and working pressures up to 10 bar. The angled inlet port with its integrated elbow keeps the overall installation height low and directs pipeline flow cleanly into the valve chamber. The threaded male outlet marked 1″ NPT on the product body allows direct connection into a standard tee or saddle fitting, while the upper exhaust vent is screened to prevent insect ingress. All three functions operate automatically through a single float mechanism — no manual intervention or external power is required.

It is compatible with water, fertiliser solutions, and treated irrigation water that are chemically compatible with GFN and EPDM. Install on the high points of pipelines where air accumulates. The male thread connection suits standard NPT tapped fittings, saddle outlets, and air-valve tees available in 1″ and 2″ sizes. Not suitable for fluids incompatible with EPDM (e.g. hydrocarbons or strong oxidising acids).
