At 4″ (DN100) bore and rated to 64 bar, this is Profec’s largest and highest-pressure lever-operated shut-off valve in the 2-piece range — suited to high-flow commercial pool plant rooms, water treatment headers, and demanding industrial pipework where a full-bore quarter-turn isolator is required on 4″ pipelines. The 316 stainless steel body pairs with PTFE seats for broad chemical compatibility, covering the full temperature window from −10 °C to 150 °C.

Body construction & corrosion resistance

Cast and machined from grade 316 stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing alloy that outperforms 304 in chlorinated water and saline environments — the valve body, ball, and lever handle share the same material, eliminating galvanic corrosion risk at every wetted surface. PTFE seats provide low-friction sealing without lubrication and resist virtually all pool and process chemicals across the rated temperature range.

Quarter-turn operation & lever geometry

A single 90° sweep of the stainless steel lever opens or closes the valve completely, giving clear open/closed visual confirmation on large-diameter pipework where flow status matters. With an overall lever length (Lb) of 214 mm and a face-to-face dimension (Ct-1) of 172 mm, the handle delivers adequate mechanical advantage for effortless operation even under line pressure, while the 94 mm flange outer diameter (ØDf) keeps the valve footprint manageable in tight plant-room headers.

Female-thread connection & installation

Both ports carry 4″ female BSP thread (ØDi-1 and ØDi-2 each 4″), allowing direct make-up to male-threaded pipe, nipples, or pump flanges without additional adapters. The 2-piece body design means the valve can be disassembled for seat inspection or replacement without disturbing the pipeline, reducing long-term maintenance cost on high-investment commercial installations.
