This genuine Hydro-Pro compressor crankcase heating belt is an electrical resistance element that wraps around the base of the compressor in your Hydro-Pro Type Z Inverter heat pump. It keeps the compressor above the refrigerant saturation temperature during off-cycles, preventing refrigerant migration into the compressor oil and protecting internal components from the effects of cold starting. Rated at 35W and 230V, it connects via a standard plug and measures 430mm in length (8×4 profile).

Why your heat pump needs it

When a pool heat pump is switched off in cold conditions, refrigerant can migrate into the compressor crankcase and dilute the lubricating oil.
