Electrofusion welding process

An embedded resistance coil inside the fitting is energised via the 4 mm electrical connector at 24 VAC; the coil heats and melts the contact surfaces of both the fitting bore and the pipe wall, creating a homogeneous, monolithic bond on cooling. A welding indicator confirms that sufficient fusion pressure has been achieved, while the integrated barcode allows a compatible electrofusion controller to set welding parameters automatically — eliminating operator error and ensuring repeatable joint quality every time.
