The BL120-602 is a metal nipple fitting sized 12 x 1/2″ and supplied as a set of two pieces. It is used to connect dosing tubing to the injection and suction points of Hanna Instruments dosing pump systems in the BL1xx and HI5x0 families. The fitting provides the threaded transition between the pump line and the pool circulation pipework or chemical tank.

What it fits

Designed for Hanna Instruments dosing pumps and controllers in the BL1xx and HI5x0 series. The 1/2″ thread matches standard pipe bosses and tank adapters used in commercial pool dosing installations, while the 12 mm side accepts the matching dosing tube connection. Always check the thread and tube size on your existing fitting before ordering.

Installation position

One nipple typically sits at the injection point on the circulation pipework downstream of the filter, and the second at the suction side in or near the chemical container. Use PTFE tape or the correct sealing washer on the threaded joint and tighten by hand plus a light turn with a spanner. Do not overtighten, as excessive torque can damage the thread or the mating plastic boss.

Service life

Metal nipples last considerably longer than the tubing they serve, but they remain a wear point in a chemical dosing circuit. Inspect them at every service interval for corrosion, chemical attack, scale build-up or leaks at the thread. Replace immediately if the seat is damaged or a leak cannot be stopped by re-sealing.
