This is the replacement dissolved oxygen (DO) electrode for the Hanna Instruments HI98194, HI98195 and HI98196 portable multiparameter meters. It measures dissolved oxygen in the sample and feeds the reading back to the meter through a dedicated probe connector. It is the standard service part when the original DO sensor no longer holds calibration or has reached the end of its working life.

What it fits

The electrode is designed for the Hanna Instruments HI98194, HI98195 and HI98196 multiparameter portable meters. It plugs into the dedicated dissolved oxygen input of those instruments and is recognised automatically by the meter. It is not interchangeable with pH, ORP or EC electrodes from the same series.

Installation position

Connect the electrode to the DO port on the meter or the multi-sensor probe body, then immerse the sensor tip in the sample or flow chamber. Keep the sensing membrane fully submerged and free of air bubbles during measurement. After connection, allow the sensor to polarise and then run a calibration before taking readings.

Service life

Dissolved oxygen sensors are consumable items and drift as the membrane and internal electrolyte age. Replace the electrode when calibration fails, response becomes slow, or readings remain unstable after membrane and electrolyte service. In continuous commercial pool and process monitoring, service intervals are shorter than in occasional spot-check use.

Ordering notes

Supplied as a single electrode, not as a full meter kit or a calibration solution set. Membranes, electrolyte and calibration solutions are ordered separately. Confirm your meter model number before ordering, as other Hanna probes with similar part codes are not compatible.
