Hanna Instruments conductivity calibration solution 12880 µs/cm, 500 ml bottle (HI7030L)

HI7030L is a ready-to-use conductivity calibration standard with a nominal value of 12880 µS/cm at 25 °C, supplied in a 500 ml bottle. It is used to calibrate the conductivity and TDS meters and probes in the Hanna Instruments range, including handheld testers and inline controllers used on commercial pool and water-treatment installations. The solution is supplied premixed, so no dilution or preparation is needed before use.

What it fits

The solution suits any conductivity or TDS instrument that is calibrated at or near the 12880 µS/cm point, including Hanna Instruments handheld meters, pocket testers and panel-mounted conductivity controllers. It is a general-purpose standard, so it is not tied to one model number. Check the calibration points listed in your instrument manual to confirm 12880 µS/cm is a supported value.

How to use

Pour a fresh sample into a clean beaker rather than dipping the probe into the bottle, to avoid contaminating the remaining solution. Rinse the probe with deionised water and then with a small amount of the standard before immersing it. Allow the reading to stabilise at the reference temperature of 25 °C, or let the instrument apply automatic temperature compensation, then confirm the calibration.

Shelf life

Keep the bottle tightly closed and stored out of direct sunlight at room temperature. Once opened, the standard is best used within a few months, as evaporation and airborne contamination shift the conductivity value. Never pour used solution back into the bottle, and replace the bottle if the liquid becomes cloudy or passes the printed expiry date.

Ordering notes

Sold as a single 500 ml bottle, not as a multi-point calibration kit. If your meter uses a two-point routine you will also need a second standard at a lower conductivity value. Facilities calibrating on a weekly schedule usually keep a spare bottle in stock to avoid downtime.
