Hanna Instruments cleaning solution for agriculture, general purpose, 25 sachets of 20 ml (HI700661P)

HI700661P is a general-purpose electrode cleaning solution supplied in 25 single-use sachets of 20 ml each. It is used to remove soil, organic residue and general fouling from pH electrodes and probes before rinsing and recalibration. The solution belongs to the Hanna Instruments range of maintenance fluids for electrochemical sensors used in agriculture, water treatment and pool water testing.

What it fits

The solution is suitable for general-purpose cleaning of glass-body and plastic-body pH electrodes, ORP electrodes and combination probes from the Hanna Instruments range. It is intended for sensors that have been exposed to soil, dust, plant material or general environmental deposits. Always check the electrode manual first, as some specialist sensors require a dedicated cleaning fluid instead.

How to use

Open one sachet and pour the contents into a clean beaker, then immerse the electrode tip and sensing junction for the soaking time given in the probe manual, typically around 15 minutes. Rinse the electrode thoroughly with deionised water afterwards and soak it in storage solution before use. Recalibrate the meter with fresh buffer solutions once cleaning is complete.

Replacement interval

Each 20 ml sachet is intended for one cleaning cycle and should be discarded after use, as the solution loses effectiveness once it has taken up contamination. Cleaning frequency depends on the sample type and duty cycle; heavily fouled probes may need treatment weekly, lightly used probes far less often. Store unopened sachets in a cool, dry place and observe the printed expiry date.

Ordering notes

Supplied as one pack of 25 sachets, 500 ml in total, and not sold as individual sachets. This is a cleaning solution only, so calibration buffers and electrode storage solution must be ordered separately. For deposits such as protein, oil or inorganic scale, a specialised Hanna cleaning solution is a better choice than this general-purpose grade.
