The HI716-25 are genuine replacement reagent packets for the Hanna Instruments HI716 Bromine Checker® HC handheld colorimeter. Each packet contains a pre-measured powder formulation that enables fast, accurate bromine readings across a range of 0.0 to 8.0 ppm (mg/L) — without the guesswork of colour-chart test kits. One pack contains 25 individual sachets, giving you 25 complete bromine tests.

How it works

These reagents use an adaptation of the DPD method (Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater, 18th edition). When a sachet is added to a 10 mL water sample, bromine reacts with the reagent to produce a pink tint; the HI716 Checker® HC then measures the colour intensity and displays the bromine concentration directly in ppm (mg/L). The simple four-step process — zero, add reagent, insert cuvette, press the button — delivers a digital result in seconds.

Compatibility

These reagents are exclusively designed for use with the Hanna Instruments HI716 Bromine Checker® HC. They are the official refill for the starter reagents (6 tests) supplied with the instrument, and are ideal for monitoring bromine levels in swimming pools, hot tubs, spas, and other water-treatment applications. A calibration check set (HI716-11) is also available separately.
