Davey - Crystal Clear ER Cartridge Filter Locking Ring (135 / 180) - 33363

Davey – Crystal Clear ER Cartridge Filter Locking Ring (135 / 180)

This is the genuine Davey replacement locking ring for the Crystal Clear ER Series cartridge filters — specifically the DCC135EU and DCC180EU models. The locking ring secures the filter lid firmly onto the tank body, maintaining a pressure-tight seal during operation and allowing safe, tool-free access to the cartridge for cleaning and maintenance.

Compatibility

This locking ring is designed for the Davey Crystal Clear ER Series cartridge filters, covering the 135 sq ft (DCC135EU) and 180 sq ft (DCC180EU) models. These filters are suited to both inground and above-ground swimming pools and spas. If you are unsure whether this part fits your specific unit, please check your filter’s model number label before ordering.

Why Genuine Matters

The Crystal Clear ER Series operates at pressures up to 250 kPa, so a correctly fitting, genuine Davey locking ring is critical for safe containment. A worn, cracked, or ill-fitting locking ring can lead to lid movement, seal failure, or pressure loss during filtration. Using the genuine Davey part ensures correct thread engagement, material durability, and continued compliance with Davey’s design specifications.

When to Replace

Replace the locking ring if it shows visible cracking, deformation, stripped threads, or if the lid no longer locks down securely. It is also good practice to inspect the ring whenever the cartridge is removed for cleaning, and to replace it at the first sign of wear to prevent unplanned downtime.
