Sta-Rite voorfilterzeefmand — 5P4R / 5MRP / SW5P4R (RC858P)

Genuine Sta-Rite / Pentair pre-filter strainer basket for the 5P4R / 5MRP / SW5P4R pool pumps. Sits under the transparent lid at the front of the pump and catches leaves, hair and coarse debris before they reach the impeller — a full basket restricts flow and, if ignored, ends up jammed against the impeller and shearing off.

Clean the basket weekly during pool season and replace when the mesh is cracked or the basket has sagged — a warped basket doesn’t seat properly under the lid and lets debris bypass straight into the impeller. Original Sta-Rite spec plastic construction, no aftermarket dimensional issues.
