Hanna Instruments Pool Line waterproof pocket pH tester, 0.1 pH resolution (HI981074)

The HI981074 is a waterproof pocket-size pH tester from the Hanna Instruments Pool Line range, designed for quick spot checks of pool and spa water. It reads pH with a resolution of 0.1 pH on a built-in digital display, so operators can verify water balance at the poolside without carrying a bench meter. It belongs to the same Pool Line family of handheld testers and probes used alongside Hanna dosing and control equipment.

Mire alkalmas

This is a standalone handheld instrument rather than a spare part for a controller, so it does not connect to a panel or dosing pump. It is intended for commercial and semi-public pools, spas and balance tanks where a fast pH reading is needed at the water’s edge. Use it as a cross-check against fixed Hanna Pool Line controllers and inline pH electrodes.

Használati útmutató

Immerse the lower measuring section of the tester in the sample or directly in the pool water and wait for the reading to stabilise. The waterproof housing tolerates accidental immersion and splashes typical of plant rooms and pool decks. Rinse the electrode tip with clean water after each measurement and store it as directed to keep the glass bulb hydrated.

Calibrate regularly with fresh pH buffer solutions to keep readings reliable; frequency depends on how often the tester is used and how aggressive the water chemistry is. With a resolution of 0.1 pH, the unit is suited to routine operational checks rather than laboratory-grade analysis. For legally required logged values, follow your local water treatment regulations.

Élettartam

The pH sensing element ages with use and exposure to chlorinated water, so response gets slower and calibration drifts over time. Replace the tester or its electrode section when it can no longer be calibrated within specification. Batteries and buffer solutions are consumables and should be kept in stock at the plant room.
