Zodiac – Boîte d'engrenages complète – R0715400

The Zodiac R0715400 is a genuine replacement complete gear box designed specifically for the Polaris 8050 Sport robotic pool cleaner. Located on the gear side of the motor assembly, this component is responsible for converting motor output into the mechanical drive that powers the cleaner’s movement and cleaning functions across the pool floor, walls, and waterline. When the gear box wears out or sustains damage, the cleaner may lose traction, move erratically, or stop operating altogether — making this a critical service part for restoring full performance.

As a complete gear box assembly, the R0715400 includes all necessary internal gearing components in a single ready-to-install unit, simplifying the repair process significantly. The grey/gray housing is colour-matched to the original component found on the Polaris 8050 Sport, ensuring a precise fit and a factory-correct appearance after installation. Being a genuine Zodiac OEM part, it is manufactured to the exact tolerances required by the cleaner’s drive system, which helps ensure long service life and reliable performance after replacement.

Caractéristiques techniques et compatibilité

This gear box is engineered exclusively for the Zodiac Polaris 8050 Sport automatic robotic pool cleaner. It interfaces directly with the motor unit on the gear side, meaning correct alignment and seating during installation are essential for proper function. Because this is a complete assembly rather than individual gear components, no separate gear sourcing or internal assembly is required — the unit can be swapped in as a whole during a service procedure.

The grey/gray colour of the housing matches the original Polaris 8050 Sport specification. As a genuine Zodiac product sold through authorised dealers, the part is covered by Zodiac’s manufacturer warranty, providing additional confidence in the quality and authenticity of the replacement component.

Adéquation et contexte d'achat

This part is intended exclusively for owners of the Zodiac Polaris 8050 Sport robotic pool cleaner who are experiencing drive-related failures traceable to the gear box assembly. It is not compatible with other Polaris models unless specifically confirmed by Zodiac’s parts diagrams. If your 8050 Sport is showing signs of mechanical drive failure — such as loss of movement, grinding noises from the drive train, or wheel spin without traction — replacing the complete gear box with this genuine OEM unit is the recommended course of action. Pool service technicians and DIY pool owners comfortable with robotic cleaner servicing will find this a straightforward component swap. Refer to the official Polaris 8050 Sport parts schematic to confirm correct placement within the drive assembly before ordering.
