Davey pool equipment and spare parts
Davey builds pool pumps, cartridge filtration and salt chlorination equipment, and much of that equipment stays in service for many seasons. What tends to need replacing is not the shell or the motor but the small consumables around them: lid seals, union O-rings, air relief components, pressure gauges, locking handles and internal cartridge adaptors. Here you will find those parts grouped by the model they belong to, so a filter housing or a seal can be matched to the exact tank on the pump pad rather than guessed at.
Ranges covered on this page
The listing spans complete units as well as individual components, and the part numbers printed in each product title are the quickest way to confirm a match.
- Crystal Clear ER cartridge filters – parts for the ER 135 and ER 180 tanks, and for the larger ER 225 and ER 270 tanks, including the DCC225EU and DCC270EU variants.
- Filtration hardware – lids, top housings, cartridge adaptors, element joiners, blanking plugs, drainage plugs, springs and air relief tube screens.
- Seals and unions – lid O-rings, union O-rings, air relief valve O-rings and barrel union assemblies, several supplied in multi-packs.
- Gauges – bottom-mount, oil-filled pressure gauges reading to 400 kPa for the ER 135 and ER 180 tanks.
- Bombes – variable speed models such as the VSD200 energy efficient pool pump.
- Salt chlorination – EcoSalt components, including the 50 mm union O-ring Q5112.
Which Crystal Clear ER parts wear out first
On a cartridge filter the lid seal does the hardest work. Every time the tank is opened to rinse the element, the O-ring is stretched, dried and re-seated, and eventually it takes a permanent set and begins to weep at the clamp line. The air relief valve and its O-ring are the second common point of failure, because that assembly is opened on every start-up to purge trapped air. A gauge that reads zero with the pump running, or one with a fogged or oil-stained face, has usually had its internals damaged by a pressure spike and is best replaced rather than cleaned.
Inside the tank, the top cartridge adaptor, the element joiner and the compression spring keep the element centred and loaded against the housing. If any of those are cracked or collapsed, unfiltered water bypasses the element and the pool stays cloudy even with a brand-new cartridge fitted. Locking handles and drainage plugs tend to suffer from UV exposure and over-tightening and are sold separately for that reason.
How to identify the right component
Davey filter parts are tank-size specific, so the first step is to read the size from the label or moulding on the housing. Parts described as ER 135/180 fit the two smaller tanks and will not seal correctly on an ER 225 or ER 270, and the reverse is equally true. Where a top housing is listed for DCC270EU rather than DCC225EU, that distinction matters: the housings differ in diameter.
- Use the part number – numbers such as 33366, 33379 or Q5112 appear in the product titles and can be cross-checked against an exploded diagram or an old invoice.
- Measure seals before ordering – note the inner diameter and the cord thickness of an O-ring with callipers; a 50 mm union seal and a lid seal are not interchangeable even when they look similar.
- Check the union size – barrel unions and their seals follow the pipe size at the filter inlet and outlet, commonly 50 mm on this equipment.
- Count the position – where a diagram is available, the position number for the item on the exploded view is the safest cross-reference.
Keeping a small spares kit
Because the failures are nearly always seals, it is worth holding a lid O-ring, an air relief O-ring and a union O-ring on the shelf. Multi-packs of two or three are listed for exactly that purpose. A light smear of silicone-based lubricant on refitting, and avoiding petroleum greases, extends seal life considerably. Open the tank only when the pump is off and the pressure has been released through the air relief valve.
Davey at PoolParthub.com
Here we list Davey filtration spares, seals, unions, gauges, EcoSalt components and pumps together on one page, with the original part numbers in the titles so that the correct item can be confirmed before ordering. The emphasis is on the small components that keep an existing filter or pump working, rather than on replacing a whole unit.
Orders are shipped to customers across Europe. If a part cannot be identified from the housing markings, send through the tank model, the pipe size and a measurement of the old seal, and the range above can be narrowed down from there.
