Description
Replacement pH probe for Microdos reference 00.043.020
This replacement pH probe for Microdos reference 00.043.020 is designed for automatic pH regulation on swimming pools and water treatment systems.
It is a short body pH electrode with integrated cable, developed to offer measurement accuracy and service life comparable to the original Microdos probe.
Key features of the replacement pH probe
- Compatible with Microdos dosing systems and controllers that specify probe 00.043.020.
- Short body design (around 80โ85 mm) for installation in compact probe holders and cells.
- Factory prefilled and ready to use for 0โ14 pH measurement ranges in pool water.
- Robust polycarbonate body with protected glass measuring tip for better impact resistance.
- Delivered fully assembled with fixed cable and standard BNC connector for quick replacement.
Technical specifications
- Brand compatibility: Microdos and devices referencing probe 00.043.020.
- Measurement range: 0โ14 pH (typical pool and spa applications).
- Probe body: Polycarbonate short body with integrated protection around the sensing bulb.
- Body diameter: Approx. 12 mm (standard probe diameter for most holders).
- Body length: Short type around 80โ85 mm for 80 mm regulators and cells.
- Reference junction: Porous ceramic diaphragm (low maintenance design).
- Cable length: Approx. 1 m integrated cable (typical for dosing panels and small plants).
- Connector: Standard BNC plug for direct connection to pH controller input.
- Typical environment: Swimming pool, spa and light industrial water treatment.
Compatibility and typical applications
This probe is intended as a replacement for Microdos installations where the documentation mentions pH probe 00.043.020 or an equivalent cross reference.
It is suitable for many compact pH regulators, dosing pumps and small control panels that use an 80 mm short body electrode with BNC connection.
Typical uses include automatic pH correction on private pools and spas, small commercial pools and other systems where a Microdos controller continuously
reads the pH and drives an acid or base dosing pump.
Installation, conditioning and maintenance
- Always store and transport the probe with the protective cap in place and filled with the storage solution supplied by the manufacturer.
- Before first use, rinse the probe with clean water and gently shake off excess liquid without wiping the glass bulb.
- Insert the probe into the existing probe holder or cell so that the sensing tip is fully immersed in flowing water.
- Connect the BNC plug to the pH input of the Microdos controller, avoiding tight bends and traction on the cable.
- Calibrate the pH input with standard buffer solutions (for example pH 7 and pH 4) following the controller instructions.
For long service life, periodically check the calibration, clean light deposits from the probe with a soft cloth or sponge and avoid exposing the glass tip
to shock or dry storage. When calibration becomes unstable or response time is very slow even after cleaning, the probe should be replaced.
