Weltico – Skimmer ABS A800 Design Sand 1½” × 2″ female thread

With a maximum flow rate of 12 m³/h through its wide slotted mouth opening, the Weltico A800 Design is a high-water-level skimmer engineered to position the water surface within approximately 5 cm of the pool coping — creating a striking mirror-pool effect that a conventional skimmer cannot match. Built from UV-treated ABS with stainless steel hardware, this sand-coloured variant measures 806.6 mm in overall height (dimension C) and suits both liner and concrete pool builds. The dual female thread connections (1½” internal, 2″ external) make it straightforward to integrate into standard European pipework.

High water level & mirror-pool effect

The A800’s slim, wide-format weir sits far closer to the coping than a traditional box skimmer, raising the effective waterline and giving the pool a near-infinity appearance. The slotted design promotes laminar surface draw, sweeping floating debris — leaves, insects, sunscreen film — efficiently into the generous basket before contaminants can sink and place extra demand on the filtration system. Position the unit on the prevailing-wind side of the pool to maximise passive debris collection.

Connection & level control

The 1½” internal and 2″ external female threads accommodate common European plumbing sizes without adaptors, and the dedicated side outlet lets you connect an optional Weltico water-level regulator — a recommended addition given the narrow weir gap, which can expose the pump to air during periods of high evaporation or extended absence. The overall body dimensions (A: 584 mm, B: 443 mm, F: 318 mm, G: 753.2 mm) should be verified against the pool shell during the design or renovation phase to confirm correct recess depth and wall thickness.

Construction & maintenance

The ABS body is formulated to resist UV degradation and pool chemicals over many seasons, while the stainless steel trim components add corrosion resistance at the exposed waterline area. The basket is easily removed for routine cleaning without tools, and the weir flap should be checked periodically for free movement to maintain consistent suction. The sand colourway integrates naturally with stone coping, timber decking, and buff or beige tile surrounds.
