With a 1,017-litre capacity and a standing height of 120 cm, this polyethylene containment tank is sized to house a full-scale chemical dosing station in a professional pool plant room, capturing any leaks or overflow before they can reach the floor drain or wider environment. The T500 is a secondary containment vessel — it sits beneath or around a primary chemical storage tank and its associated dosing pump — providing the spill-bunding function increasingly required by health and safety legislation across Europe.

Chemical resistance & construction

Moulded from high-density polyethylene (PE), the T500 offers excellent resistance to the acids, alkalis, and oxidising agents commonly used in pool water treatment, including sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid, and pH-correction reagents. PE is inherently non-corroding, does not require lining, and maintains its structural integrity over many years of static chemical exposure in both indoor plant rooms and sheltered outdoor enclosures.

Secondary containment in the plant room

A containment tank of this capacity is well suited to housing primary dosing tanks of up to approximately 800–900 litres, ensuring the bund volume exceeds the primary vessel’s contents — a standard requirement under European chemical storage guidance. The open-top basin design allows dosing pumps to be mounted directly on the primary tank while the entire footprint sits safely within the bund, keeping any drips or catastrophic spills fully contained and easy to pump out or inspect.
