With a 203 mm (8″) internal diameter, a 9.1 mm PVC wall, and a working pressure of 2 bar, this Agriflex spiral suction hose is one of the largest sizes in the Profec range — built for high-volume water transfer in commercial pools, plant rooms, and industrial pump installations. The 6-metre cut length and a generous 815 mm minimum bending radius make it straightforward to route around large pump sets and filter vessels without risk of collapse under the rated 0.6 bar vacuum.

Hose construction & collapse resistance

The Agriflex design uses a rigid PVC spiral helix bonded to a plasticised PVC wall to maintain bore shape under suction, preventing collapse even at continuous vacuum loads. At 9.1 mm wall thickness and an outer diameter of 221.2 mm, the hose delivers the structural rigidity required for large centrifugal and submersible pump connections where bore integrity is critical to flow performance.

Temperature range & fluid compatibility

Rated from −20 °C to +50 °C, the hose remains flexible during cold-season start-up and handles the elevated temperatures typical of plant-room environments. The PVC compound is suitable for water, irrigation media, and non-aggressive liquids — making it equally at home on pool backwash runs, tank-to-tank transfer lines, and commercial water management systems.

Sizing & installation

The 8″ bore is the maximum diameter in the Agriflex programme, intended for high-flow pump inlets and large-bore manifold connections rather than standard domestic pool plumbing. At this scale, professional installation with compatible Bauer-type couplings or clamp fittings is strongly recommended to ensure a fully airtight suction side and safe pressure containment up to 2 bar.
