Kripsol KS Ø63mm union connector kit with nuts and gaskets (pair)

This is the complete Ø63mm union connector kit for the Kripsol KS pump range, supplied as a pair (×2). Each kit contains the union body, union nut, and face gasket needed to terminate the pump’s inlet and outlet ports to your pipe run. It covers positions 24 and 25 on the KS exploded-parts diagram, giving you both connections in one order.

What this union connector kit does in the KS

The union connectors couple the pump body to the Ø63mm pipework on either side of the hydraulic circuit. The threaded nut pulls the two mating faces together to compress the gasket and create a watertight joint. Without an intact union set, the pump cannot hold system pressure: even a small leak at the port face accelerates seal wear and introduces air into the priming circuit.

This Ø63mm kit fits the Kripsol KS (Koral) pump series, including the KS and KSE variants across the 1.50 hp to 3.00 hp power range — the power band where Ø63mm porting is standard. It is also compatible with Kripsol Niger and Hayward K-Flo and K-Flo VSTD pumps that share the same KS hydraulic body. The equivalent Ø50mm kit (for 0.33–1.00 hp models) is a separate part — confirm your pipe diameter before ordering.

Replace this kit when you see water weeping from the union face during pump operation, visible cracking or brittleness in the union nut threads, or the nut no longer tightens fully because the thread form has deformed. Air entrainment at the pump inlet — visible as foaming in the pre-filter basket — is also a reliable indicator of a failed inlet union gasket.

Cum se instalează

Shut down the pump and close the isolation valves. Unscrew the existing union nuts by hand or with a strap wrench — do not use grips, which crush the thread. Slide the new nut over the pipe end before bonding the new union connector to the pipe with solvent cement; allow full cure time before reassembly. Press the gasket into the union face recess, hand-tighten the nut onto the pump port, then give a quarter-turn more — overtightening distorts the gasket and defeats the seal.
