The Itap York 108 is a compact, heavy-duty foot valve designed for suction-side pump installations in pools, irrigation systems, and water supply networks. Manufactured in Italy from dezincification-resistant brass, the valve prevents backflow and keeps the pump primed when the system is at rest. The integrated stainless steel 304 mesh strainer at the inlet protects the pump and downstream components from particulate matter, making it equally suitable for open water sources, wells, and cisterns.
The valve body is machined from brass and sealed with an NBR disc that opens under inlet pressure and closes immediately when flow reverses, providing reliable one-way performance across a wide temperature range of -20 °C to +100 °C. The strainer basket is fabricated from stainless steel 304, while internal spring components are stainless steel 302, ensuring long-term corrosion resistance even in aggressive water conditions. The white polymer lower housing bridges the brass body and the strainer, allowing straightforward field inspection and cleaning.

The York 108 DN20 is designed to connect directly to any 3/4 inch BSP male-threaded pump inlet or suction pipe fitting. It is suitable for centrifugal surface pumps, submersible pump suction lines, drip and sprinkler irrigation systems, greenhouse water supply, and pool make-up water circuits. The NBR seal is compatible with cold and hot fresh water, light chlorinated water, and general agricultural water supplies within the stated temperature and pressure limits. Not recommended for petroleum-based fluids or solvents.
