Zodiac - Full Inverter Rotary Compressor for PX50 Heat Pump (WH000431) - ZX101000181

Zodiac – Full Inverter Rotary Compressor for PX50 Heat Pump (WH000431)

This is the genuine Zodiac replacement compressor for the PX50 MD6 pool heat pump (model WH000431), corresponding to position 21 in the official Fluidra exploded view. The compressor is the core component of the refrigeration circuit, responsible for pressurising the refrigerant to generate heat for your pool. Sourced directly from Fluidra, it is manufactured to the exact OEM specification of the original unit.

Compatibility

This compressor is designed exclusively for the Zodiac PX50 MD6 heat pump, parent SKU WH000431. The PX50 range uses Full Inverter technology, meaning the compressor operates across 10 variable speed levels to continuously adjust output to demand. Always verify your heat pump’s model number before ordering — this part is not cross-compatible with other PX50 variants or other Zodiac heat pump families.

Why Genuine Matters

The PX50’s performance depends on the precise match between the inverter controller and the compressor’s operating profile. A genuine Zodiac compressor ensures the three operating modes — Boost, Smart, and Ecosilence — function correctly, and that COP ratings and noise levels remain within factory specification. Non-OEM substitutes risk inverter faults, reduced efficiency, and voided warranty coverage.

Installation

Compressor replacement involves working with a pressurised refrigerant circuit and high-voltage electrical connections. This service must be carried out by a qualified HVAC or pool heating technician holding the appropriate F-gas handling certification. Refer to the official Zodiac PX50 installation and service manual for torque values, refrigerant charge specifications, and commissioning procedures.
