This direct replacement is compatible with three Xclear 40W models: the Xclear Flex UV-C 40W, Xclear Tech UV-C 40W, and Xclear Flex UV-C INOX 40W.

How Xclear UV-C Systems Work

Xclear UV-C systems sanitise pool and spa water by exposing it to UV-C light at a wavelength of 253.7 nm. At this wavelength, UV-C radiation penetrates the cell walls of bacteria, viruses, algae, and moulds, damaging their DNA and preventing reproduction. The result is clean, biologically safe water without relying solely on chemical disinfectants. UV-C treatment is chemical-free, odourless, and does not affect the pH or water balance of your pool. The electronics unit (ballast) ensures the UV-C lamp runs at its rated power output consistently, which is critical for maintaining effective germicidal UV intensity.
