Pentair Triton NEO Air Relief Valve
Pentair Triton NEO Air Relief Valve – Reference RTTAIR
The Pentair RTTAIR Air Relief Valve is the genuine replacement manual air bleed valve for Triton NEO sand filters. Every time the filter is restarted after draining, cleaning, or a sand change, air becomes trapped inside the tank. This trapped air must be released before the pump is run at full flow — failure to do so can cause air locks, noisy operation, and in severe cases, pump damage. The air relief valve makes this a one-second, tool-free operation.
Simple, Reliable Operation
The valve is mounted on the top of the filter lid. To bleed the air, simply turn the knurled cap anti-clockwise by hand while the pump runs at low speed. Air escapes through the valve until a steady stream of water appears, at which point the cap is hand-tightened closed. The RTTAIR includes an integrated strainer to prevent debris from blocking the bleed port.
Prevents Air Locks and Pump Damage
A faulty or missing air relief valve forces you to partially open plumbing unions to bleed air — a messy and time-consuming process. Replacing a damaged valve with this OEM part costs very little and protects far more expensive equipment downstream.
