Tefen MixRite TF 3.5 Water-Powered Dosing Pump — 3/4 inch, On/Off, 0.3 %–2 %

The MixRite TF 3.5 is a water-powered proportional dosing pump designed for continuous, accurate injection of fertilisers, acids, chlorine, or other water-soluble chemicals into pressurised irrigation and pool circulation lines. Driven entirely by the energy of the flowing water, it requires no electricity and no external power source, making it ideal for remote greenhouse blocks, open-field drip irrigation systems, and pool chemical dosing stations. The On/Off variant adds a simple shut-off capability so chemical injection can be stopped without interrupting the main water flow.

The pump body is constructed from chemically resistant engineering polymer and uses NBR seals throughout, giving broad compatibility with standard fertiliser concentrates and chlorine solutions. The 3/4 inch male-thread inlet and outlet connections suit the most common irrigation manifold sizes, while the integrated hose-tail suction port accepts standard chemical-resistant tubing for direct pick-up from a drum or tank. A clearly marked percentage dial on the dosing cylinder allows the injection ratio to be set between 0.3 % and 2 % (1:333 to 1:50) without tools. Flow range is 10 to 3 500 litres per hour, covering everything from a single drip zone to a large-scale commercial block.

Compatibility

The MixRite TF 3.5 is suited for inline installation on 3/4 inch BSP-threaded irrigation manifolds, fertigation headers, and pool or spa dosing bypass lines operating between 0.2 and 8.0 bar. It is compatible with water-soluble fertilisers, pH-adjusting acids and bases, and chlorine solutions that are chemically compatible with NBR seals and engineering-polymer housings — always verify chemical compatibility with the concentrate supplier before use. The hose-tail suction port accepts standard 6–8 mm bore chemical dosing tubing. Not intended for abrasive slurries or undiluted solvents.

In details

  • No electricity required — water pressure alone drives the pump, simplifying installation in remote or outdoor locations
  • Wide flow range (10–3 500 L/h) suits small domestic drip zones and large commercial irrigation blocks equally
  • Tool-free ratio adjustment from 0.3 % to 2 % via the graduated dial on the dosing cylinder
  • On/Off function allows chemical dosing to be paused independently of the main water supply
  • 3/4 inch male-thread connections fit standard BSP irrigation manifolds directly, reducing the need for adaptors
  • Injection ratio is limited to 0.3 %–2 %; applications requiring higher or lower concentrations need a different pump model
  • Performance depends on stable line pressure (minimum 0.2 bar); very low-pressure gravity-fed systems may not provide sufficient drive
  • NBR seals limit compatibility with certain aggressive solvents — chemical compatibility must be checked before use
