The Rain Bird WR2-RFC-868 is a professional-grade wireless combination sensor that automatically interrupts irrigation scheduling when rainfall or freezing temperatures make watering unnecessary. Operating on the 868 MHz frequency band (EU/UK compliant), the unit pairs a hygroscopic rain-disc collector with a temperature-sensitive freeze sensor into a single compact transmitter, eliminating the need for two separate wired sensors and the cable runs they require.
The LCD display on the receiver module shows real-time signal strength, sensor status and current settings at a glance, while the flip-open Quick Reference card keeps rain and temperature set-point tables within reach during commissioning. The white housing is UV-stabilised for permanent outdoor mounting and the system ships with all hardware needed to attach the transmitter to a fence post, eave or dedicated mounting arm.

Compatibility
The WR2-RFC-868 transmitter is designed for use with the Rain Bird WR2 receiver (included in the combo kit) and integrates directly with Rain Bird ESP-RZX, ESP-Me, ESP-TM2, ST8O-2.0 and similar controllers that feature a dedicated sensor input terminal. The 868 MHz radio protocol is CE-marked for use across the European Union and United Kingdom. It is not compatible with 915 MHz North American Rain Bird wireless systems. No additional hub or gateway is required.
