The QG025 is a high-purity quartz glass sleeve for UV-C pool, pond and water treatment systems. Quartz glass transmits UV-C radiation (254 nm) with minimal absorption, isolating the UV-C lamp from direct water contact while keeping germicidal output at maximum effectiveness.
When to Replace
Replace the sleeve whenever it appears cracked, cloudy or has mineral scale that cannot be removed by dilute acid cleaning. A degraded sleeve reduces UV-C transmission by up to 50%, significantly lowering disinfection performance. Ozone UV-C units require a quartz glass sleeve that also passes the 185 nm wavelength responsible for ozone production. The QG025 is rated for both UV-C and ozone output.
