The QG020 is a high-purity quartz glass sleeve for use in UV-C pool, pond and water treatment systems. Quartz glass transmits UV-C radiation (254 nm) with minimal absorption, protecting the lamp from direct water contact while maintaining peak germicidal output.
When to Replace
Replace the quartz glass sleeve whenever it is cracked, cloudy or shows mineral deposits that cannot be removed with a dilute acid clean. A fouled sleeve can reduce UV-C output by up to 50%, significantly lowering disinfection effectiveness. The 28.5 mm diameter is specific to certain VSC models — verify against your unit before ordering.
