The Profec Safe 600 is a full-bore, double-union ball valve machined from unplasticised PVC (PVC-U), designed for demanding shut-off duties in pool circulation systems, chemical dosing lines, irrigation mains and greenhouse water treatment. At DN32 (40 mm glue socket) it handles working pressures up to 16 bar at 20 °C, dropping to a de-rated figure at the 60 °C maximum service temperature. The double-union construction means the valve body can be removed from the pipeline for inspection or replacement without cutting pipe — an essential feature wherever downtime must be minimised.

The bright-red T-bar lever gives an unmistakable open/closed indication with a 90° quarter-turn action. Seats and seals combine Hytrel and EPDM compounds, providing excellent resistance to chlorinated water, mild acids, alkalis and fertiliser solutions commonly encountered in pool plant rooms and horticultural irrigation. All wetted surfaces are PVC-U, eliminating metallic contamination risk in sensitive water circuits. The grey body colour conforms to standard PVC pressure-pipe colour coding for straightforward system identification.

Compatibility

Designed to solvent-weld directly onto 40 mm OD PVC-U pressure pipe conforming to ISO 1452 / EN 1452 series. The double-union ends accept standard 40 mm PVC-U plain-end pipe and fittings. Suitable for cold and warm water supply, chlorinated pool water, pH-adjustment dosing lines, and low-concentration fertiliser irrigation circuits where fluid temperature does not exceed 60 °C. Not suitable for solvent, ketone or aromatic hydrocarbon service. Actuator adaptation is not specified for this model; manual operation only.
