How Salt Electrolysis Works
An electrolysis cell generates chlorine on demand inside your pool’s filtration circuit. A low-voltage DC current passes through titanium electrode plates submerged in the salt-water, splitting sodium chloride into hypochlorous acid — the active disinfectant. The acid sanitises the water then reverts back to salt, making the process continuous, self-sustaining and far gentler on swimmers than traditional chlorine dosing.

Paramount electrolysis cells are available in IP (in-pool) and non-IP formats. Ensure you select the correct variant for your installation — IP cells are designed for submerged use while non-IP cells are installed in the equipment room pipework.
