Its full-inverter GMCC rotary compressor continuously modulates output between 5.31 and 16.70 kW, matching actual heat demand rather than cycling on and off. Refrigerant & environmental credentials

The ProX 17 runs on R290 (propane), a natural refrigerant with a global warming potential of just 3 — a dramatic step forward from the R32 (GWP 675) used in previous Norsup inverter models. R290’s superior thermodynamic properties allow the heat pump to maintain high efficiency across a wide range of air temperatures, making it especially well suited to the variable climates typical of northern and central Europe. As EU F-Gas regulations progressively restrict high-GWP refrigerants, an R290 unit is a future-proof investment.

Heat exchanger & hydraulics

Pool water passes through a corrosion-resistant titanium condenser — the appropriate choice for both fresh and salt-water pools — at a nominal volumetric flow rate of 7.2 m³/h via a 50 mm hydraulic connection. The ABS cabinet resists UV degradation and salt-air corrosion without adding unnecessary weight, and the horizontal airflow layout means the discharge is directed away from adjacent walls or fencing rather than upward.
