Maytronics Dolphin Supreme M5 bearing for flat axle (sold individually)

This is the genuine OEM bearing that seats on the flat (TT) axle inside the drive pulley assembly of the Dolphin Supreme M5. It allows the drive pulley to spin freely and concentrically on its shaft, transmitting motor torque to the timing track without play or resistance. Sold as a single bearing so you replace only the worn component rather than the entire pulley unit.

What this bearing does in the Dolphin

The flat-axle bearing sits between the drive pulley bore and the TT-profile shaft, providing a low-friction rotating interface. When it degrades, the pulley binds, wobbles, or seizes on the shaft, breaking the drive chain between the motor gearbox and the timing track. Replacing this bearing restores smooth, concentric pulley rotation and stops accelerated wear on the track and drive gear.

Which Dolphin models it fits

This bearing is confirmed for the Dolphin Supreme M5 and Supreme M5 Liberty as its parent product. The same SKU also appears in parts diagrams for a wide range of Dolphin TT-shaft platforms — including the Supreme M4, M400, M500, Triton, Triton Plus, Nautilus, Nautilus Plus, Sigma, DX3, DX4, DX5, DX6, Wave 50, Wave 100, Saturn, Discovery, Apollo, and Oasis Z5i — wherever the flat (TT) axle configuration is used. Always verify your robot’s parts diagram before ordering.

Signs it needs replacing

Listen for a grinding or rattling noise from the drive pulley area during a cleaning cycle — that is the most reliable indicator of a worn bearing race. You may also notice the robot pulling to one side, a timing track jumping off the pulley, or visible lateral wobble on the pulley when the machine is lifted out of the water. Catching bearing wear early prevents secondary damage to the drive shaft and track belt.

How to install it

Remove the side panel to expose the drive pulley assembly, then slide the pulley off the flat axle. Press the worn bearing out of the pulley bore and press the new bearing in until it seats flush. Refit the pulley on the shaft, reassemble the side panel, and run a short test cycle to confirm smooth, quiet operation. The procedure takes around 15 minutes and requires no specialist tooling beyond a small flat-blade screwdriver or bearing press.
