Hayward T-CELL-3 – Genuine TurboCell S3 Replacement Salt Cell

Your AquaRite system is only as good as the cell inside it. The Hayward T-CELL-3 is the OEM replacement TurboCell S3 electrode for pools up to 60 m³ (15,000 gallons) — the same cell that came in your system from the factory, designed to restore full chlorine output and give you another three years of hands-free water sanitation.

Salt chlorination works by passing a low-voltage current through titanium electrodes submerged in mildly salted pool water. The electrolysis reaction converts dissolved sodium chloride into hypochlorous acid — the same active sanitiser as liquid chlorine, but produced continuously on demand from salt you can barely taste. No chlorine jugs, no overchlorination, no red eyes.

After two to five years of daily use, titanium blades gradually lose their platinum catalyst coating and chlorine output drops. When your AquaRite starts showing high-salinity warnings or the cell inspect light won’t clear despite clean blades, the T-CELL-3 is the correct replacement.

Why the T-CELL-3 and Not a Generic Cell?

The AquaRite controller reads a calibration code built into genuine Hayward cells to confirm cell type, track run hours and calculate remaining life. Third-party cells often lack this communication, causing false error codes, incorrect output percentages and voided controller warranties. The T-CELL-3 integrates fully with the AquaRite diagnostics screen — cell life counter, output percentage and all.

Self-Cleaning Technology

The TurboCell S3 reverses polarity automatically every few hours, causing any calcium scale that forms on one set of blades to be electrochemically dissolved off before it can harden. This keeps the blades clean without acid washing in most water conditions, and extends the working life of the cell significantly compared to fixed-polarity designs.
