This is the genuine Fluidra replacement manifold collector assembly designed for the Volcano D 600 sand filter (bolt-down lid version). Positioned at the base of the filter tank, the manifold collector allows filtered water to flow through while preventing filter media — such as sand or glass — from escaping back into the pool. Replacing a cracked or damaged collector restores your filter’s full performance and protects pool water quality.

How It Works

The collector assembly sits at the bottom of the sand filter tank and acts as the underdrain system. Its central hub and slotted lateral arms collect filtered water from across the entire filter bed and channel it out through the return line. During backwash cycles, the assembly also ensures thorough fluidisation of the filter bed, dislodging trapped debris so it can be flushed away effectively.

Compatibility

This assembly is specifically sized for the Fluidra Volcano sand filter with a 600 mm tank diameter and a bolt-down lid. If you own a Volcano filter of a different diameter (e.g. Ø450 mm or Ø500 mm), a different manifold assembly part number is required — always verify your filter’s model and diameter before ordering.
