This is the genuine Fluidra replacement diffuser assembly designed specifically for the Corona side-outlet sand filter with a 600 mm tank diameter. The diffuser sits at the top of the internal pipework and is a critical component for correct water distribution during both filtration and backwash cycles. Replacing a worn or damaged diffuser restores full hydraulic performance and prevents sand bypass into the pool.

How it works

During the filtration cycle, incoming water is evenly spread across the sand bed by the diffuser, maximising contact time and filter efficiency. In backwash and rinse modes, water re-enters through the diffuser to agitate and flush the filter media before being directed to drain. A correctly seated diffuser assembly is essential for each of these multiport valve positions to work as intended.
