This is the genuine Fluidra collector support for the Artic Plus laminated sand filter with a 950 mm tank diameter and 2½” ACME-threaded connections. It forms the central hub of the internal collector arm assembly, holding the lateral distribution arms in their correct position to ensure even water flow through the filter bed. Replacing a worn or damaged collector support restores proper hydraulic balance and filtration efficiency.

Compatibility

This part is designed exclusively for the Fluidra Artic Plus sand filter range with a 950 mm tank diameter and 2½” connections (model reference 36055). It is not interchangeable with the smaller 650 mm or 800 mm variants, nor with the larger 1050–1200 mm Artic Plus models, which use a different collector assembly. Always verify your filter’s model number and tank diameter before ordering.

The Artic Plus collector system uses polypropylene (PP) arms with precision 0.3 mm slots to distribute water uniformly across the filter bed. A genuine Fluidra collector support ensures the correct slot geometry and dimensional tolerances are maintained, preventing channelling, sand bypass, and premature wear on surrounding components. Aftermarket alternatives may not match these critical specifications.

Installation

Installation requires draining the filter tank, removing the filter lid, and accessing the internal collector assembly. The support locates at the base of the central manifold and the lateral arms slot or thread into it. While a competent DIYer can complete this work, professional installation is recommended to ensure correct seating, leak-free reassembly, and safe re-pressurisation up to the filter’s 2.5 bar working pressure.
