This is the genuine Fluidra collector assembly (underdrain lateral assembly) designed for the Fluidra Europe Filter with a Ø1400 mm tank and 75 mm pipework, featuring a 1½” connection. Sitting at the base of the filter vessel, it collects filtered water through its slotted laterals and channels it cleanly back to the pool, while ensuring sand and debris remain trapped in the filter bed during both filtration and backwash cycles.

How it works

During filtration, pool water passes downward through the sand bed and is captured by the slotted laterals of the collector assembly at the tank floor, allowing only water — not sand — to pass through and return to the pool. During backwashing, flow is reversed through the same laterals to lift and flush trapped debris to waste. A worn or cracked collector assembly can allow sand to bypass into the pool or reduce filtration efficiency, making timely replacement essential.
