This is the genuine OEM replacement safety valve for the Fluidra AstralPool Atlas sand filter range. Fitted to the lower section of the filter tank, it serves a dual purpose: protecting the filter vessel against over-pressure and enabling water drainage from inside the filter prior to maintenance tasks such as sand replacement. The part ships complete with a sealing gasket for a leak-free installation.

How It Works

The Atlas filter is designed with a built-in safety valve to prevent any over-pressure situation within the tank, activating automatically if internal pressure exceeds the maximum working threshold. In normal maintenance use, opening the valve drains water from the filter interior — a necessary step before accessing the sand bed for a sand change or inspection. The valve connects to the filter’s sand drain thread and features a ¾” evacuation outlet.

Compatibility

This spare part is specifically designed for the Fluidra AstralPool Atlas sand filter series, which are reinforced polyester (fibreglass) filters with a maximum working pressure of 2.5 kg/cm². Always verify your filter model and part number against your filter’s exploded-view diagram before ordering, as the Atlas range spans several tank diameters.
